COLLAB had become Iceland’s most valuable beverage brand by creating its own category – combining caffeine and collagen in sugar-free sparkling water. Together with Ölgerðin, the ambition was to prepare COLLAB for export and turn local success into a structured international growth platform.
We developed a clear distribution strategy, a focused go-to-market framework and a replicable partnership blueprint to align expansion across markets. Based on research into occasions, channels and competitive landscapes, we defined a top-down market entry strategy – starting in offices to establish COLLAB within modern working life before scaling further. The brand platform was revitalised and supported by a comprehensive communication toolbox tailored for international markets.
COLLAB has since entered three new European markets: Denmark, Germany and Austria, with more underway. The brand has received international recognition, including awards for Best Functional Drink and global beverage innovation.
