On Langeland, two local utility companies have long kept the island running: Fonden Langeland Elforsyning and Langeland Forsyning A/S. From power in the outlets and light on the streets to the wind energy driving the island forward – and even support for local sports clubs, children’s camps, and music studios – their impact goes far beyond supplying energy and water.
However, the two companies operated separately, with offices just 500 metres apart, limited synergy between sub-companies, and two unclear, diverging brand identities. In short, they needed restructuring – and a way to remind everyone just how vital they are to the island’s everyday life.
Through in-depth research into the Danish utility market, best-practice insights, and a deep understanding of local conditions, CO/PLUS helped bring the two companies together under one name: Langeland Energi & Forsyning. The unification was anchored by a clear brand architecture, a new logo, and a shared story built around the line “For Øens Bedste” – translating to “For the good of the island.”
With a cohesive brand and a clear direction, Langeland Energi & Forsyning now stands stronger than ever, ready to keep Langeland running.
