It's no secret that the COVID-19 pandemic had a colossal impact on the airline industry — and Norwegian was no exception. Not only did Norwegian have passenger numbers and sales figures at an all-time low, but the company was at the brink of bankruptcy. However, after 6 months of transformation and slowly reopening borders, Norwegian has turned the corner! Our task at CO/PLUS was to help tell the world about Norwegian's triumphant return with the simple message "We're Back!".
The creative concept was activated on Norwegian's website, national and international TV ads, on social media, in key airports and not least on LinkedIn, where Norwegian employees engaged in spreading the celebratory news. Indicators of the campaign success showed above-average results in key messaging, differentiation and persuasion in all Nordic markets.
