Turning fuel stops into profit-driving destinations

As fuel sales are expected to keep declining globally, and as petrol cars will gradually be replaced by alternative vehicles, Olís wanted help redefining the role of their gas stations, and the reason for customers to stop by in the future.

CO/PLUS designed a new store concept called The Ultimarket, the ultimate destination for an easier every day. After creating new product and service offerings across store formats, we developed a modular customer journey as well as store experience and design from entry to exit. The ambition was to transform the gas stations into welcoming spaces that make people want to stay and come back for more, while utilising existing resources and minimising investment.

Built for scale, the concept was designed to roll out across Olís’ nationwide footprint of 65 service and self-service locations and a team of 430+ employees.

This resulted in Olís strengthening its role as a modern on-the-road destination, combining convenience, food and new services such as parcel and delivery partnerships and fast charging, rolled out across 65 service and self-service locations.
