Hagkaup, Iceland's oldest supermarket chain, brought us on board for a project aimed at attracting more kids and families to their stores. Shopping can be difficult with small kids as there's not a lot of entertainment available for them. As part of a larger rebranding project, we developed Haggi, an adorable mascot for the Hagkaup stores that can educate and entertain little ones.
We conceptualised every element of Haggi – his look and feel, tone, personality including his accessories — to ensure that he would be the perfect fit for the Hagkaup brand. Since his introduction, Haggi has become a huge success and has been plastered all over Reykjavík.
